Tigers' Devin Smeltzer: Gets MiLB deal with Detroit

The Tigers signed Smeltzer to a minor-league contract Tuesday.

Smeltzer had been pitching in the Mexican League and has not seen any action at the big-league level since 2023. The left-hander will give the Tigers some experienced swingman depth at Triple-A Toledo.
