Tigers' Ramon Rosso: Joins Detroit

Rosso signed a minor-league contract with the Tigers on Monday.

Rosso should get the chance to compete for a spot in the Tigers' Opening Day bullpen, but his status as a non-roster invitee means he's a more likely candidate to begin the season at Triple-A Toledo. The 25-year-old right-hander made 14 big-league appearances with the Phillies between the past two seasons, logging a 6.11 ERA over 17.2 innings.
