Twins' Charlie Barnes: Starting Tuesday

Barnes will be recalled from Triple-A St. Paul to start Tuesday's game against the Tigers, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Barnes was sent to St. Paul in mid-September, and he allowed one run on six hits and no walks while striking out four in four innings during a minor-league appearance Friday. He has a 6.61 ERA and 1.53 WHIP in 31.1 innings across seven appearances (six starts) with the Twins this year and hasn't lasted longer than five innings in any of his big-league outings.
