Cruz (wrist) was spotted taking batting practice on the field ahead of Friday's game against the Rays, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Cruz has managed to take swings the last few days, as he hit in the cage Thursday. The Twins will likely re-evaluate Cruz's wrist following Friday's hitting session to determine the next step in his recovery process.
