Goodman went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Cardinals.

Goodman opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning before coming through again in the eighth, taking George Soriano deep for a game-tying solo homer. Goodman has continued to provide plenty of power since the All-Star break, batting .254 with seven home runs and 18 RBI across 18 games. Through 108 contests this season, he's batting .254, while his 34 homers trail only Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Schwarber (35) for the MLB lead.

Briceno was promoted to Triple-A Toledo on Sunday, per MLB Pipeline.

Briceno will move up to Triple-A after producing a .297 average with eight home runs, 19 RBI and 15 runs scored over 64 at-bats in 17 contests with Double-A Erie. The 21-year-old is considered to be one of Detroit's top overall prospects and a top 100 prospect in baseball, and he is now just one step away from making his major-league debut.

Giants manager Tony Vitello said that Susac exited Sunday's 3-1 extra-inning loss to the Tigers in the bottom of the seventh due to a left knee contusion, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Susac went 0-for-2 with a strikeout prior to his departure.

Susac fouled a ball of his knee in the bottom of the fifth and exited the game the next time his turn in the batting order came up two innings later. Fortunately for Susac, Vitello said that X-rays on the rookie catcher's knee returned negative. The 25-year-old is dealing with a significant amount of swelling in his knee and is considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener versus the Astros.

Amaya went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 10-2 win over the Royals.

Amaya hit his fourth home run of the season in the seventh inning, getting him up to 21 RBI as well. The 27-year-old catcher has been splitting time behind the plate with Carson Kelly, with Kelly getting the start on both Friday and Saturday before taking a seat Sunday. Amaya is likely still the 1B to Kelly's 1A, so his overall fantasy value will be capped unless his role grows at some point, but he's capable of producing when given an opportunity.

Jansen (forearm) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on Tuesday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Jansen has been sidelined since early June while recovering from a right forearm injury, but he's all set to return to game action this week. The catcher was eligible to be activated from the 60-day injured list Wednesday, so whenever the team feels like he has shaken off the rust and gotten back up to speed, he'll be able to return to the major-league roster. Considering how long he's been out, it wouldn't be a surprise if he requires a lengthy rehab assignment, but a return to the Rangers before the end of August appears likely.

Campusano is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

The Padres will go with Freddy Fermin behind the dish Sunday after Campusano picked up starts at catcher in the first two contests of the series. Since the All-Star break, Campusano has gotten on base at an excellent .396 clip over 15 games, but he's provided limited counting statistics (no home runs or stolen bases, five RBI and one run).

Steer (wrist) is scheduled to have a splint removed from his right wrist Monday, MLB.com reports.

Once the split is gone, Steer can begin mobility exercises with his hand and wrist. He'll be re-evaluated soon after to determine where the wrist is at in the healing process. Steer could rejoin the team in September.

Burleson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Rockies.

Burleson led off the fifth inning by jumping on the first pitch he saw from Michael Lorenzen for his 19th home run of the season, surpassing his total from a season ago. The outfielder has now gone deep four times through eight August games, though his previous three all came during his offensive explosion against the Yankees on August 3. Burleson continues to put together a strong campaign, slashing .283/.349/.478 with 28 doubles, one triple, 78 RBI, 63 runs scored and three stolen bases across 117 games.

Alonso went 3-for-3 with two home runs, two walks, four RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 10-5 win over the Rangers.

Alonso reached base in all five of his plate appearances and recorded his first multi-homer game as an Oriole, launching two-run shots in back-to-back at-bats. The huge performance came after Alonso entered Sunday with just one extra-base hit while batting .160 through seven August games. With 25 on the season now, he's on pace to reach 30 home runs for the seventh time in his career and sixth consecutive season, though his overall production has slipped compared to his usual standards, with a .472 slugging percentage and .818 OPS.

Sheets went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Astros.

Sheets hadn't homered since June 30 versus the Cubs. During the 31-game power drought, he hit just .155 (13-for-84) with two doubles, five RBI and a 16:14 BB:K. The 30-year-old's slump, combined with the signing of Austin Hays on Sunday, could lead to Sheets losing some playing time, though he's still in the mix at first base, designated hitter and left field. Overall, Sheets is batting .214 with a .713 OPS, 15 homers, 44 RBI, 44 runs scored, 15 doubles and four stolen bases over 110 contests.

The Brewers promoted Burke from Double-A Biloxi to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.

Burke has had a remarkable season with Double-A Biloxi, slashing .285/.367/.603 with 30 home runs and 28 steals in 96 games. The 23-year-old has shown impressive power throughout his entire professional career since the Brewers selected him 34th overall in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, and if he maintains a similar level of production with Nashville, he could have a shot at making his MLB debut early in 2027.

Busch went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 10-2 win over the Royals.

Busch enjoyed a nice weekend series against Kansas City, going 6-for-12 with a walk and two runs scored across three games. It continues a good stretch of play this month for the first baseman, who is now sporting an .857 OPS with a home run, four runs scored and five RBI in nine August contests. Busch isn't quite matching last year's breakout campaign, but he's remained a solid fantasy contributor in 2026.

Marte went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Dodgers.

Marte has regularly batted cleanup since July 25, but the results haven't really been there. He's 8-for-54 (.148) with two homers, two doubles and four RBI over his 14 contests in that spot. On the bright side, the second baseman secured his fourth straight 20-homer campaign with his long ball Sunday. He's hitting .244 with a .744 OPS, 64 RBI, 61 runs scored, 22 doubles, three triples and four stolen bases over 113 games this season and should be able to hit his way out of this slump eventually.

Hoerner went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 10-2 win over the Royals. He also stole a base.

Hoerner continued his strong play this month, as he's now slashing .314/.351/.543 with four extra-base hits, five RBI and five runs scored in nine August games. The speedy infielder is also now up to 18 stolen bases in 21 attempts this year, and he's closing in on his fifth straight 20-steal campaign. Hoerner's top fantasy asset remains his wheels, and he's able to swipe more bags when he's swinging a hot bat like he has been lately.

The Brewers signed Bae to a minor-league contract and added him to the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Twins.

Bae was part of the Brewers' taxi squad to begin the day but ended up being activated after shortstop Cooper Pratt (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list shortly before first pitch. With Pratt on the shelf, Joey Ortiz (neck) and David Hamilton are expected to serve as the Brewers' main options at shortstop, while Bae will bolster the club's bench. The 27-year-old has seen big-league action in each of the previous four seasons but had spent the entire 2026 campaign at the Triple-A level in the Mets organization before he was released earlier this month. Bae produced a .257/.360/.368 slash line with five home runs and 36 steals in 91 games at Triple-A and made starts at second base and all three outfield positions.

Lopez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Lopez had started the last five games, but the left-handed hitter will retreat to the bench against southpaw Cade Povich. Justin Foscue will step in for Lopez at second base and bat sixth.

Ramirez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Ramirez will head to the bench for a third straight matchup versus a right-handed pitcher, although the rookie still looks set to retain a regular spot against lefties. Tyrone Taylor will bat ninth as the center fielder Sunday while Pete Crow-Armstrong gets a day off from playing defense but stays in the lineup at designated hitter.

Grissom is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Grissom will get his first day off of the second half after producing a .250/.296/.382 slash line with two home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs while starting in each of the Angels' last 20 games. Adam Frazier will step in for Grissom at second base and will bat ninth in the series finale.

Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and an RBI in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the White Sox.

Ramirez returned to the lineup after getting Saturday off and made an immediate impact with a run-scoring single in Cleveland's two-run first inning. A sore hand caused him to miss two games in the middle of last week, and there was concern the soreness was related to the surgery he underwent on the same hand in June and led to Saturday's day off. Since returning from the orignal hand injury, Ramirez has gone 12-for-52 (.231) with eight walks, five steals, three RBI and 10 runs scored over 15 contests.

Vargas went 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored and two walks Sunday against the Guardians.

Vargas earned a one-out walk in the third inning and was able to come around to score, accounting for his key production in Sunday's win. He has hit just .195 since the All-Star break but has still found ways to be productive by hitting three home runs and scoring 14 runs across 22 games.

Sanoja went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 12-3 win over the Angels.

Sanoja delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning before driving in two more in the fifth. The 23-year-old has now hit safely in seven of eight August contests, going 10-for-27 with five extra-base hits and seven RBI during that stretch. On the year, he's slashing .274/.312/.411 with four homers, 42 RBI, 29 runs scored and six stolen bases across 318 plate appearances.

Bichette went 5-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 11-1 victory over the Pirates.

Bichette led the Mets' 15-hit barrage Sunday, as the third baseman matched a career high with five hits. Bichette has gone 11-for-26 (.423) with three doubles and a home run over his last six games. Overall, he's slashing .263/.307/.378 with 11 homers, 59 RBI, 57 runs scored and a stolen base across 511 plate appearances this season.

Bregman went 3-for-6 with a run scored and two RBI in Sunday's 10-2 win over the Royals.

Bregman has mostly underwhelmed in his first season with the Cubs, but he turned back the clock with a productive performance Sunday. The veteran third baseman historically plays better down the stretch, and he should remain in the lineup most days as Chicago jockeys for playoff positioning. Bregman is now slashing .263/,317/.395 with a home run, six RBI and six runs scored across nine games this month.

Royals manager Matt Quatraro said that Garcia (hand) could resume his rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha as soon as Wednesday, Pete Grathoff of The Kansas City Star reports.

Garcia was scheduled to take part in fielding drills Sunday, and if the workout goes well, he'll get the green light to return to action at Triple-A after he was previously pulled off his assignment when he experienced renewed discomfort in his strained left hand following a July 28 appearance. Nick Loftin has been serving as the Royals' primary third baseman in recent weeks, but he'll likely be ticketed for a utility role once Garcia completes his rehab assignment and is ready for activation.

Montgomery went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run Sunday against the Guardians.

Montgomery delivered the key blow in the game with his home run, breaking a 2-2 tie in the third inning. That marked his third long ball since the All-Star break and 26th of the season. While he has struggled to find his groove at the plate since mid-July, Montgomery now has three multi-RBI showings in his last nine starts.

The Pirates announced July 31 that Griffin (finger) has resumed participating in baseball activities, including playing catch and taking right-handed swings against a Trajekt machine, MLB.com reports.

Griffin is about four and a half weeks into a six-week immobilization period for his left ring finger sagittal band injury, but he'll still be able to do some light activities during that time. Once the six weeks are up around the middle of August, Griffin could be cleared for more intense workouts as he gears up for a potential return from the 60-day injured list in early September. While Griffin remains out, Jacob Gonzalez is expected to see the bulk of the reps at shortstop for the Pirates.

Johnson was removed from Triple-A Indianapolis' game against Iowa on Saturday after four innings due to an apparent left knee injury, Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.

Johnson sustained the injury while tumbling over first base as he attempted to beat out a grounder for an infield single in the bottom of the fourth. Per Jason Mackey of MLB.com, Johnson needed to be carted off the field and was fitted for an air cast. The Pirates haven't provided an updated diagnosis for Johnson, but the knee issue seems likely to force the 22-year-old to Indianapolis' injured list.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Sunday that Williams, who was activated from Triple-A Nashville's 7-day injured list Saturday, is headed to Arizona to visit a specialist after aggravating his wrist injury, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports.

The young infielder struck out in his lone plate appearance Saturday before departing the contest due to continued wrist soreness. Williams spent a month on the shelf due to injury, which was originally considered a minor issue. Since he's already stepping away from the club to be evaluated, a return trip to the IL wouldn't be surprising.

Baez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Kevin McGonigle will cover shortstop in the series finale in place of Baez, who started at the position in each of the Tigers' previous three contests while going 4-for-14 with three RBI. Though he appears to be locked in as a near-everyday player for the time being, Baez could fade into more of a part-time role once Kerry Carpenter (foot) eventually returns from the injured list.

Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said July 31 that Crawford is expected to be "a couple weeks down" after requiring an injection to relieve inflammation in his left wrist, MLB.com reports.

Crawford was expected to rest for 3-to-5 days following the injection, so he may have already started up the process of ramping back up. The veteran infielder is eligible to return from the injured list Sunday, but it looks like he'll need more time to complete a full range of baseball activities before the Mariners bring him back from the shelf. Brendan Donovan returned from the IL on Tuesday and has settled in as the Mariners' primary third baseman, so Crawford could be headed for a utility role once he's activated.

White started in right field and went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.

White made a second consecutive start in right field, as Wilyer Abreu operated as the designated hitter Sunday following a day off Saturday due to lower-leg soreness. White was acquired from Atlanta at the trade deadline and will fill in where needed in the outfield. Since joining Boston, he's appeared in six games (two starts) and gone 3-for-11 with a walk, an RBI and three runs.

Abreu started at designated hitter and went 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.

Abreu, who was held out of Saturday's lineup with lower-leg soreness, was back in action Sunday but did not play the field. His fifth-inning sacrifice fly gave Boston a 3-2 lead before the A's came back late. It was the sixth consecutive game with an RBI for Abreu, who was delivered 10 runs during that stretch. The two-time Gold Glove winning outfielder was replaced in the right field by Eli White the last two games.

Nimmo went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 10-5 loss to the Orioles.

The Rangers were chasing early, down 5-0 after two innings, when Nimmo narrowed the deficit to two with a homer off Cade Povich. It was the 13th homer of the season and third this month for Nimmo, who is enjoying a productive beginning of August. The outfielder is 12-for-29 (.414) with three home runs, seven RBI, one steal and five runs scored over eight August games.

Lawlar (hamstring) will continue to rehab at Double-A Amarillo, MLB.com reports.

There was thought that Lawlar's rehab assignment could move to Triple-A Reno, but the organization will keep him at Amarillo for now. He's appearaed in five rehab games for the Sod Poodles, going 3-for-19 with nine strikeouts, two steals and two runs scored.

Cowser went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and two RBI in Sunday's 10-5 win over the Rangers.

Cowser added to Baltimore's early lead by taking Kumar Rocker deep for a solo homer in the second inning, giving him nine home runs on the season. He later drew a bases-loaded walk in the ninth to secure his first multi-RBI performance since June 21. Cowser had struggled mightily over the past month entering Sunday, batting just .121 across his previous 29 games with only one RBI.

Gilbert went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Sunday's 3-1, extra-inning loss to the Tigers.

Gilbert tripled off Troy Melton in his first plate appearance for his third three-bagger of the season before adding an RBI single in the seventh inning. The RBI snapped a 41-plate-appearance drought without driving in a run, though Gilbert remained productive during that stretch with a .410 OBP. Through 94 games this season, he's batting .240 with a .680 OPS.

Webb did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Tigers, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out two over eight innings.

Webb allowed just one hit through his first five innings before Detroit opened the sixth with back-to-back singles, eventually leading to his lone run allowed. Despite the excellent outing, San Francisco's offense managed only one run in the extra-inning loss. Webb has been an absolute workhorse since the beginning of June, completing at least six innings in 11 of his 12 starts, including four outings of eight innings. His swing-and-miss ability remains modest with a 10 percent swinging-strike rate, but a groundball rate north of 50 percent continues to make him a strong contributor in the ratio categories.

Melton did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Giants, allowing one unearned run on four hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings.

Melton threw 60 of his 92 pitches for strikes and generated 14 whiffs while never facing more than four batters in an inning. He held San Francisco scoreless through six frames before returning for the seventh and issuing a leadoff walk to Rafael Devers, prompting his exit. Melton watched from the dugout as a run eventually scored on an error. The right-hander hasn't allowed an earned run across his last three starts (20 innings) and owns a 3-0 record with a 0.64 ERA since the beginning of July. Through 80 innings this season, Melton boasts a stellar 1.46 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 69:24 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled to face the White Sox on Saturday.

Javier (1-3) allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out two over five innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Padres.

Javier threw 62 of 86 pitches for strikes, but he was a little too hittable on some occasions. Fernando Tatis' three-run blast in the fourth inning was the difference, and Jackson Merrill had a solo shot in the second. Javier has allowed seven runs over 11 innings in his last two starts after pitching five scoreless innings in relief against the Angels on July 27. Javier has a 6.68 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 25:16 K:BB through 10 outings (six starts) this season. Assuming he stays in the rotation, he's tentatively projected to make his next appearance at home versus the Mariners.

Rocker (4-9) took the loss Sunday against the Orioles, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over three innings.

Rocker was in trouble from the outset, surrendering four hits and two runs in the first inning before Colton Cowser and Pete Alonso homered in the second. In the fourth, Rocker walked the leadoff batter, prompting his exit. Sunday was his shortest start since lasting two innings against Detroit on May 2. It marked the right-hander's third outing this season allowing at least six earned runs. Rocker now owns a 4.46 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 103:42 K:BB across 111 innings and will look to rebound in his next scheduled start Friday against the Athletics.

Povich did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Rangers, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two over three innings.

Povich opened with two scoreless frames while Baltimore's offense spotted him a five-run lead, but he couldn't maintain the momentum. After allowing a hit and a walk in the third, he surrendered a three-run homer to Brandon Nimmo that accounted for all of the damage against him. The outing was a stark contrast to his first start since returning to the rotation, when he delivered six scoreless innings. Through 28.1 major-league innings this season, Povich owns a 4.45 ERA with a 21:10 K:BB. He's currently slated to start Saturday against the Rays, though Chris Bassitt's (back) impending return from the injured list could alter those plans.

Vasquez (8-6) allowed two runs on two hits and struck out one without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win over the Astros on Sunday.

Vasquez put just two runners on base, as he allowed a single to Taylor Trammell and a home run to Daulton Varsho in the second inning. Beyond that, it was another decent start for Vasquez, who has started his last two appearances. He's pitching to contact without getting burned for now -- he has just four strikeouts over his last 15.2 innings. On the year, he's maintained a 4.16 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 66:31 K:BB through 106 innings over 23 games (19 starts). Vasquez should get at least one more turn through the rotation while Nick Pivetta (forearm) and Joe Musgrove (elbow) work their way back. The next outing for Vasquez is projected to be on the road in Cleveland.

Yoho (2-1) was tagged with the loss to the White Sox on Sunday, when he allowed four runs on two hits and four walks over a third of an inning.

Yoho was one of several relievers to pitch Sunday, when starter Joey Cantillo was removed after one inning following a significant rain delay. Things did not go well for the reliever, who entered in the third inning with two outs and no runners on base. The right-hander allowed a walk, a double and another walk before Colson Montgomery took him deep for a three-run home run. Yoho was a trade-deadline acquisition and in position for high-leverage work in the Guardians' bullpen, but he's allowed seven runs on five hits (two HRs) and four walks in consecutive outings (1.1 innings).

O'Brien recorded his 29th save Sunday against the Rockies, tossing a perfect ninth inning.

O'Brien was called upon to protect a three-run lead in the ninth inning and made quick work of Colorado, retiring the side in order on just eight pitches. The right-hander has now delivered seven consecutive scoreless appearances while allowing only one hit during that stretch. Across 48 appearances this season, O'Brien owns a 3-4 record and 29 saves with a 3.21 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 48:29 K:BB over 47.2 innings.

Tidwell is slated to start Monday's game against the Astros in San Francisco.

After dealing away Tyler Mahle and Robbie Ray last week, the Giants had two openings in the rotation, and Tidwell was summoned from Triple-A Sacramento to fill one of those spots. The 25-year-old right-hander acquitted himself well in his first start as a member of the Giants last Tuesday, taking a no-decision on the road against the Rangers while allowing two earned runs on six hits and one walk across five innings. Tidwell will be awarded a second turn through the rotation and will tentatively line up for two starts during the upcoming week, with a home start against the Rockies likely on tap next Sunday.

Helsley (elbow) said Sunday that he's about a week into his throwing program but is likely a couple of weeks away from getting back on a mound, Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com reports.

On the shelf for the second time this season due to a right elbow injury, Helsley looks like he'll be eased along slowly during his rehab program. He's expected to gradually increase his throwing distance off flat ground for the next two weeks before he begins throwing bullpen sessions. After that, Helsey will then need to resume facing hitters and complete a rehab assignment before potentially making his return to the Baltimore bullpen. Given the multiple hurdles Helsley still needs to clear, he doesn't appear likely to make it back from the 60-day injured list until at least early September.

Booser picked up a hold Sunday against Seattle, allowing one hit and no walks in a scoreless seventh inning. He struck out two.

After struggling to a 5.52 ERA in 31 innings for the White Sox in 2025, the 34-year-old left-hander continues to serve as a legitimate weapon out of Tampa Bay's bullpen this season. Booser has a 2.08 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 33:5 K:BB over 26 frames while logging seven holds.

Richards secured the save against the Guardians on Sunday, allowing one run on no hits and two walks in the ninth inning.

A two-hour rain delay forced the White Sox into a bullpen game Sunday, and Chicago elected to throw most of its high-leverage arms earlier in a close contest. Grant Taylor, who looks to have worked his way into the closer spot as of late, might have also been unavailable after throwing three innings in the past three days, so it certainly appears as though the stars aligned for Richards' rare save chance. Through 48.1 innings for the White Sox, the right-hander has a hold and a save in two attempts while posting a 3.54 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 45:15 K:BB.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Ohtani (knee/biceps) is scheduled to play catch Monday for the second time in three days, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Ohtani served as the Dodgers' designated hitter in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Diamondbacks, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Before playing catch out to 90 feet Saturday, Ohtani had been shut down from throwing for approximately two weeks due to lingering soreness and inflammation in his left knee as well as a right biceps issue, which cropped up during his last bullpen session July 22. The two-way superstar reported no issues coming out of Saturday's catch session and is set to repeat the activity Monday, but Roberts wouldn't provide a timeline for when Ohtani might get back on a mound, terming it as a "day-by-day" decision. The Dodgers are planning on Ohtani being part of their rotation in the postseason, and while he's still expected to resume pitching in games before the end of the regular season, he may not be ready to handle a traditional starting role and could instead be deployed as more of an opener while he gradually builds up his pitch count.

Diaz went 4-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Mariners.

Diaz and Chandler Simpson led the way with four hits apiece as the Rays used small ball effectively in this win. While Diaz has hit safely in just three of his seven games in August, those three performances have included multiple hits. Schwarber went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs, four total RBI and three walks in Sunday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Blue Jays.

Schwarber opened the scoring in the third inning with a three-run, opposite-field blast off Shane Bieber before extending the lead to 4-2 with a 448-foot solo shot in the fifth. The two-homer game snapped an extended power drought for Schwarber, who had gone 17 games without a long ball -- he went just 10-for-57 (.175) with three RBI in that span. Schwarber is now slashing .247/.369/.535 through 503 plate appearances this season with 68 RBI, 68 runs scored and 35 home runs, tied with Yordan Alvarez for the most in the majors.

Nootbaar is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

The veteran outfielder started all five games since being acquired from the Cardinals on Monday, but he'll hit the bench Sunday with lefty Justin Wrobleski taking the mound for Los Angeles. Nootbaar has opened his time with the Diamondbacks by going 3-for-17 with four walks, a double, one RBI and one run scored. He's unlikely to see significant action against left-handed pitching over the rest of the season.

Pederson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

After going 1-for-7 with a home run and two RBI as the designated hitter in the first two contests of the series, Pederson will head to the bench against lefty Cade Povich. Corey Seager will get a break from playing shortstop but will stay in the lineup at DH.

Grichuk will start in left field and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Grichuk will enter the lineup for the third time in four games, but each of those starts have come against left-handed pitching. The 34-year-old is slashing a scintillating .288/.336/.568 with seven home runs over 119 plate appearances against lefties for the season, but his .207/.203/.397 line against righties keeps him on the short side of a platoon.
