Williams will not return to Friday's preseason finale versus the Cavaliers due to a left ankle injury. He finished the game with 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists and a block across 20 minutes.
Williams entered the night with a wrist injury, but it was not severe enough to keep him sidelined from the exhibition contest. It is unclear how serious his ankle injury is, other than he will not return. His status for Wednesday's regular-season opener is seemingly up in the air as of now. When healthy, he is expected to start at power forward this season.
