Green isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Wizards, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports.
Green has been cleared to return to action following a lengthy 31-game absence due to a lower back/disc injury, but he'll do so off the bench after failing to see his name in the starting five Monday evening. According to Kendra Andrews of ESPN.com, coach Steve Kerr wanted to utilize Green off the bench due to his minute restriction, making it easier for the team to deploy the Michigan State product in end-of-half or end-of-game situations. Green will still be expected to log 20-to-23 minutes.
