Buccaneers DT Gerald McCoy plays 48 snaps in Week 5

Buccaneers defensive tackle McCoy (shoulder) participated on 48 snaps in Week 5 against the Jaguars, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

McCoy received his usual amount of playing time and came on strong late, recording 1.5 sacks in the closing minutes to help stifle an attempted Jaguars comeback. The bye week will likely benefit McCoy's ailing shoulder considerably, and he should be refreshed for Tampa's Week 7 matchup against the Redskins.
