Chiefs' Izaiah Gathings: Gets chance with Chiefs

Kansas City signed Gathings to a contract Sunday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

Gathings also got a look from Kansas City last year but didn't advance beyond the practice squad and was cut this May. He was subsequently signed by the Steelers before being waived in June. In a move corresponding with Gathings' signing, fellow tight end Gerrit Prince (lower leg) was waived.
