Cody Thompson: Cut by Tampa Bay

Thompson was released by the Buccaneers on Tuesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

The wide receiver recorded 15 catches for 137 yards and a touchdown during the preseason, but he still couldn't find a spot on a thin Tampa Bay depth chart. Thompson played on 23 offensive snaps with Seattle last year and caught one pass.
