Commanders' Corn Elder: In concussion protocol

Elder entered concussion protocol during Saturday's 24-14 preseason loss at Kansas City, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Elder, who is probably on the roster bubble with the 53-man roster deadline fast approaching, will hope to clear protocol and get back onto the field as quickly as possible. In the meantime, rookie seventh-round pick Christian Holmes should see increased opportunities as long as Elder is out.
