Derrick Deese: Cut from practice squad

The Lions released Deese from their practice squad Tuesday.

Deese rejoined the Lions via the practice squad after being waived ahead of the 53-man roster deadline. The 6-foot-4 tight end originally signed with Detroit in May as an undrafted free agent out of San Jose State, where he hauled in 47 passes for 730 yards and four scores during his final collegiate season.
