Dolphins' Adam Shaheen: Placed on season-ending IR

The Dolphins placed Shaheen (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Shaheen nearly received a fresh change of scenery via an attempted trade to the Texans earlier in August, but the deal fell through due to a failed physical, and he is now instead positioned to spend the entire 2022 season on IR. The 2017 second-round pick is set to hit free agency next offseason.
