Laken Tomlinson: Dropped by Jets

Tomlinson was released by the Jets on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Tomlinson was cut for salary purposes, as the move saves New York roughly $8.1 million on the cap. He had been incredibly durable, as the veteran has started 114 consecutive games between the Jets and 49ers. The nine-year pro will now look for a new opportunity.
