Matt Corral: Let go by New England

Corral (undisclosed) was waived from the Patriots' active roster Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

It's unclear what injury Corral suffered during the week or if it weighed into the decision to waive the second-year signal caller, but it's entirely possible Corral could rejoin the Patriots' practice squad in due time. The Patriots signed Bailey Zappe to the 53-man roster in a corresponding move.
