Player Outlook
After helping replace Lamar Jackson late last season, Huntley is expected to be the backup again this season. Huntley averaged just below 18 Fantasy points in his last four games. That's not so great. Huntley is only worth taking in deep two-QB leagues if you want to protect your investment in Jackson.

The Ravens have extended a one-year contract tender to Huntley, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Huntley, who drew four starts in place of Lamar Jackson last season, thus is slated to reprise his role as the Ravens' No. 2 QB in 2022. In seven appearances overall during the 2021 campaign, the 24-year-old completed 122 of his 188 passing attempts for 1,081 yards, three TDs and four picks to go along with 47 carries for 294 yards and a pair of rushing TDs. Though no threat to supplant Jackson, Huntley's ability as a runner bolsters his prospects as a streaming fantasy option when given the opportunity to fill in for Baltimore's franchise QB.

Huntley completed 16 of 31 passes for 141 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Ravens' 16-13 overtime loss to the Steelers on Sunday. He also rushed 12 times for 72 yards and lost a fumble. In what turned into a typical late-season AFC North slugfest, Huntley often was overwhelmed by an aggressive Steelers defense that harassed him most of the afternoon. The second-year signal-caller's two interceptions didn't directly lead to any Pittsburgh points, but his early first-quarter fumble did result in a Chris Boswell field goal. Huntley's second pick also came at the Steelers' six-yard line, damaging enough without it having resulted in any subsequent score. Huntley performed adequately as a passer over his five starts, but he ultimately failed to lead the Ravens offense to enough points and posted a poor 3:4 TD:INT. Nevertheless, the Utah product will have a chance to continue his development behind Lamar Jackson (ankle) next season, as he's an exclusive rights free agent.

Coach John Harbaugh announced Friday that Huntley will start Sunday's regular-season finale against the Steelers. With Lamar Jackson (ankle) not starting the contest, Huntley will get the nod in a game in which the Ravens need to win in order to have any chance of making the playoffs. Huntley thus represents a Week 18 fantasy lineup option, with his ability to gain points via his rushing attempts adding to his viability on that front.
-
Huntley completed 20 of 32 pass attempts for 197 yards and one interception while running for 54 yards on six carries against the Rams on Sunday. Huntley wasn't exactly bad and certainly dealt with a lot of pressure (five sacks), but his Sunday showing was at the very least lower than the standard of play he displayed in his prior starts. It's not clear whether Lamar Jackson (ankle) might return for the Ravens' game against Pittsburgh in Week 18, but if he doesn't, Huntley would likely be the favorite to start again.

Huntley will start Sunday's game against the Rams with Lamar Jackson (ankle) inactive for the contest, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Jackson will sit out a third straight game due to a bone bruise in his right ankle, allowing Huntley to pick up his second start over that stretch and his third overall of the season. Both Jackson and Huntley were sidelined for last week's loss to the Bengals, with Huntley's placement on the reserve/COVID-19 list paving the way for journeyman Josh Johnson to pick up his first start since 2018. After Huntley was reinstated from the list Thursday, he was able to get in a pair of practices to clear up any concerns about his ability for the weekend. The 23-year-old was one of the top fantasy performers in his last start Week 15 against the Packers, completing 28 of 40 attempts for 215 yards and two touchdowns while adding 73 yards and two more scores on the ground.
