Hammond announced his retirement from hockey Monday.
Hammond mentioned an ankle injury from his time in Montreal last season as the reasoning behind his decision to hang up the pads. The 34-year-old netminder played in 67 games with the Senators, Avalanche, Canadiens and Devils during his NHL career. He posted a 31-20-7 record with a 2.56 GAA and a .916 save percentage.
