Avalanche's Chris Wagner: Suffers ruptured Achilles

Wagner suffered a ruptured Achilles prior to training camp, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

Wagner signed a two-year deal with the Avalanche in July, but it could be a while before he suits up with the team. The 32-year-old was likely to be just a fourth-line option this season, but given the severity of his injury, it's likely he'll miss a majority of the campaign.
