Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Drops back to AHL

Ahcan was reassigned to AHL Colorado following Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Devils.

The Avalanche are off until Friday's game in Vegas, so Ahcan will head back to the minors for at least a couple of days. The 28-year-old defenseman earned his first NHL assist -- and second career point -- in Tuesday's victory, which was his second appearance for the Avalanche this season.
