Makar was recalled from AHL Colorado on Friday.
Makar made 12 regular-season appearances for the Avalanche last year, and he was held scoreless with 17 hits, four PIM and a blocked shot while averaging 6:13 of ice time. He began the 2026-27 campaign in the minors but will rejoin the NHL club to provide additional depth while several of Colorado's forwards deal with injuries.
