Lindstrom is recovering from a back injury that will reportedly limit his participation in training camp, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports Tuesday.
Lindstrom was selected by Columbus with the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Even without the back injury, it was unlikely that the 18-year-old center was going to make the team straight out of training camp, and he will likely return to juniors for the upcoming campaign once healthy. This back problem will no doubt further decrease Lindstrom's chances of making the Opening Night roster.
