Johnson will undergo shoulder surgery that will cost him the remainder of the 2015-16 campaign, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
Johnson's season ends having notched 14 points (six goals, eight assists) through 60 contests, with six of the points coming on the power play. The blueliner added 98 hits and 102 blocked shots to that total. He remains under contract heading into next seasons, so expect him to retake a similar role as the Blue Jackets look for a better 2016-17 outcome.
