Kirkland penned a one-year, two-way deal with Anaheim on Thursday.
Kirkland suddenly found his offensive game in the minors last season with 25 goals, more than he had scored in his previous four campaigns combined. Despite that, Kirkland was never able to break into the NHL roster but could have that opportunity with Anaheim if he continues to display an offensive touch.
