Kirkland was placed on waivers Wednesday, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

Kirkland has an assist, five shots, 13 hits and three blocks in nine outings with Calgary in 2025-26. He's been a healthy scratch for the Flames' past five games.
