Islanders' Bracken Kearns: Assigned to minors

Kearns was assigned to AHL Bridgeport on Sunday, Shannon Hogan of MSG Network reports.

Kearns appeared in two games during his first stint with the Islanders this year, failing to score a point and adding two PIM, five hits and three shots on goal in those contests. Though he's 35 years old, Kearns has been one of the productive scorers at Bridgeport this season and could resurface at the NHL level if the Islanders incur more injuries at forward.
