Islanders' Liam Foudy: Lands on waivers

Foudy was placed on waivers by the Islanders on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Foudy was battling for a roster spot among New York's forward group, but the room was too crowded for him to make the cut. The 24-year-old signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Isles in July. Foudy will likely see significant ice time with AHL Bridgeport if he passes through waivers.
