Jets' Evgeny Svechnikov: Earns first helper with new team

Svechnikov logged an assist, two hits and two PIM in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.

Svechnikov drew the secondary assist on Pierre-Luc Dubois' first-period tally. The 24-year-old Svechnikov saw a promotion to the second line for Thursday's game, but this is likely a short-term arrangement while Blake Wheeler (COVID-19 protocols) is out. The assist was Svechnikov's first point with the Jets, as he had been limited to under seven minutes of ice time per game prior to logging 13:01 in Thursday's win.
