Lightning's Gabriel Fortier: Placed on waivers

Fortier (undisclosed) was placed on waivers Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Fortier had been on injured reserve after undergoing surgery in the offseason, so the move indicates he's been cleared and likely report to AHL Syracuse. The 24-year-old Fortier figures to spend the bulk of the campaign in the minors.
