Rangers' Brandon Scanlin: Returned to minors

Scanlin was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Tuesday.

Scanlin's demotion would seem to be a good indication that Erik Gustafsson (upper body) will be ready to return to action versus the Devils on Wednesday. For his part, the 24-year-old Scanlin appeared in one NHL game back on March 26 in which he saw 10:46 of ice time and recorded one hit.
