Red Wings' Austin Czarnik: Dropped to minors

Czarnik was assigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Saturday.

Czarnik has chipped in one assist, 14 shots on goal and six blocked shots over 18 appearances with the Red Wings this season. Detroit also sent down Jonatan Berggren on Saturday because Joe Veleno (undisclosed) and Christian Fischer (upper body) are expected to return to the lineup Sunday against Boston.
