Red Wings' Sheldon Dries: Waived by Detroit

Dries was waived by the Red Wings on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Dries signed a two-way deal with the Red Wings in early July and was unable to earn an Opening Night roster spot for the 2024-25 season. Assuming he clears waivers, he'll likely spend most of this season in the minors.
