Sabres' Sean Malone: Back to AHL

Malone was sent back to AHL Rochester on Saturday

Malone cleared waivers Tuesday and was called back up to the Sabres on Wednesday, but it looks like he'll ultimately begin the season in the AHL. The 27-year-old center hasn't logged minutes in the NHL since 2020, when he picked up an assist in his lone game with Nashville. Malone will serve as organizational depth for Buffalo in 2022-23.
