Sharks' Jacob Middleton: Up to active roster

Middleton was called up to the active roster from the taxi squad, per CBS Sports.

With Radim Simek (upper body) placed on injured reserve Sunday, Middleton figures to have a chance to earn a third-pairing role in the near team. Fredrik Claesson also joined the active roster, but Middleton's the only one of the two blueliners to have appeared for the Sharks this season.
