Stars' Nick Ebert: Traded to Dallas

Ebert was traded to the Stars from the Kings in exchange for Jack Campbell on Saturday, reports the NHL Network.

Ebert's career has been on a yo-yo for years. He was a high-profile prospect entering his draft year (2012) who dropped like a stone and ended up being the last player picked. He used that as motivation and has steadily improved his game. Ebert is an outstanding skater with a rocket of a shot and the ability to jump into the play in transition, but his decision-making still gets queasy at times. There's upside in his game, but his defensive game still needs polish. He could get a look in Dallas at some point this coming season now that Alex Goligoski is gone.
