Lettieri was put on waivers Wednesday, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Lettieri is expected to report to AHL Iowa if he goes unclaimed on waivers. The 28-year-old contributed 23 goals and 49 points in 48 AHL outings with Providence last season.
