Kakko delivered two assists Saturday in an 8-3 loss to Florida.

Kakko has delivered two, 40-point seasons to mark the high point of his offensive career. But this season, he has stepped up his game and has two goals and six assists in nine games. We're not going overboard here -- Kakko has just eight shots and his 25.0 shooting percentage is bloated at best. But 2026-27 could finally be the year of the Kakko as a solid secondary NHL scorer.

Catton picked up two assists in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Panthers.

The 20-year-old Catton has six points (one goal, five assists) in his first nine games this season, and he's well on his way to obliterating his 17-point rookie season (66 games; seven goals, 10 assists). Look closer and you'll see a trend, though. Catton has delivered three, two-point games this season and been held off the scoresheet completely in six of his nine games. It's not unexpected -- young players take some time to become consistent. Catton is great with the puck, has incredible hockey IQ and is more than a passer -- he can snipe, too. His future is bright, even if his now is a bit inconsistent.

Markstrom (undisclosed) made 20 saves in an 8-3 victory over Seattle on Saturday.

The game was never in doubt. Markstrom is 3-1-1 with one shutout, a 2.21 GAA and .897 save percentage in his new uniform. He had missed two games this past week with an undisclosed ailment; he had tightened up in Monday's loss to Buffalo but avoided injury. Markstrom has been so solid when he's in net that he's made fans almost forget about Sergei Bobrovsky.

Hintz sustained an undisclosed injury in the third period of Saturday's 4-0 win over the Blackhawks, Robert Tiffin of NHL.com reports.

There was no update on Hintz's status after the contest. The center had a goal in the game prior to his exit. He's earned five points through eight outings this season. Hintz can be considered day-to-day until the Stars provide a more thorough update.

Tkachuk delivered two assists Saturday in an 8-3 win over the Kraken. He had seven shots.

Tkachuk has shed his sluggish start to the season and has gone a heater in the Panthers last four games. He has 10 points (six goals, four assists) and 20 shots in that span, and he also became part of history Saturday when Carter Verhaeghe put up a natural hat trick. Tkachuk had natural hatties in the team's previous two games, and the Panthers became the first team in NHL history to put up natural hat tricks in three straight games.

Tkachuk is riding an eight game, 14-point scoring streak and includes three goals and 11 apples. He had missed big chunks of the last two seasons with injuries, but he seems healthy and energized this season playing alongside brother, Brady Tkachuk. The elder Tkachuk sits in a tie for fifth in league scoring (14 points) and in a tie for second in assists (11).

Mikkola had a goal and an assist Saturday in a 8-3 win over the Kraken.

He finished plus-3 and had three shots, one block and one hit. The points were Mikkola's first of the season. He's much better known for his hitting and blocks than offense. Mikkola's best offensive season came in 2024-25 when he scored six goals and added 16 assists on 116 shots. But he has delivered as many as 198 hits and 124 blocks in a single season, and that may help you in pylon formats. Mikkola has nine each this year.

Reinhart had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 8-3 win over Seattle.

Reinhart is on a four-game, eight-point scoring streak that includes five goals and 17 shots. Four of those goals, including the one Saturday, have come with the man advantage. Reinhart had struggled through a five-game point drought to start the season, so this outburst has carried many patient fantasy owners this week.

Verhaeghe scored a natural hat trick in Saturday's 8-3 win over the Kraken.

Verhaeghe's name will be immortalized in the Hockey Hall of Fame with the effort. The Panthers are the first team in NHL history to record a natural hat trick in three straight games. Brady Tkachuk had a natural hat trick in each of the team's previous two games. Verhaeghe has been white hot of late, putting up five goals and an assist in his last three games (nine shots). Overall, he has six goals, two assists and 16 shots in nine games this season.

Chabot won't return to Saturday's game versus the Flyers, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports. Per Jackson Starr of the Senators' official site, Chabot's injury is an upper-body concern.

Chabot was missing from the bench during the second period, but he was able to return once. He then didn't play in the third before being officially ruled out. The Senators should have an update on his status prior to a home back-to-back against the Panthers on Wednesday and the Sharks on Thursday.
