Neymar sends girl signed boot, just as she dreamed and wrote about
The Brazilian striker sent a girl his boot after she wrote an essay about him.
A young girl named Leanna had a dream she put on Barcelona star Neymar's boots. That dream became a reality thanks to the Brazilian star.
Leanna, who goes to school in Spain, wrote an essay about a dream she had. In the dream, she went to a local soccer field and encountered Neymar's shoes in a shoe box. After hearing about it, the player actually sent her a signed soccer shoe.
"Once I had a dream where I was in my home country, the Philippines," she wrote, according to Barcelona Foundation. "I was in my town, a smaller place than Barcelona and I was walking to the local football pitch. I went straight into the dressing room where I supposed that my teammates would be waiting. But all I found was a shoe box. I was surprised and decided to open it, and I was even more surprised when I saw that they were Neymar’s boots. I put them on and went out onto the field to play. When I got there, Neymar was waiting for me to play some football. We played until night time, when Neymar said he had to go and that it had all been a dream. When I woke up, I could still feel the studs of the boots and my legs ached from so much running."

She entered the essay into a competition, which she won, and people pushed to get her a shoe of his.
"The striker didn’t think twice, and decided to give Leanna one of his signed boots," according to the foundation's site. "On Monday a delegation from the foundation led by its patron Antoni Tombas presented the young girl with the real prize for her lovely entry."
Leanne expressed her gratitude towards the forward.
"Thank you, Neymar, for giving me this gift," she said, according to the foundation. "I want to take them to the Philippines this summer, to my family’s home."
Neymar is a polarizing figure on the pitch who was banned four games at this year's Copa America for his actions following his team's first-round finale against Colombia, but this kindness off the pitch speaks volumes.
