Reports: Chris Weidman off UFC 199 after injury; Rockhold in need of opponent
The UFC injury bug continues as Chris Weidman is the latest big name to be forced off of a pay-per-view card in 2016, leaving Luke Rockhold without an opponent at UFC 199.

Chris Weidman is the latest UFC star to be injured in training and have to pull out of a fight on a pay-per-view card, according to MMAFighting and FloCombat.
Weidman was set to take on Luke Rockhold in a rematch of their UFC 194 bout, which Rockhold won by fourth-round TKO to claim the UFC middleweight title on June 4 in Inglewood, California. But, as has been the case for nearly every PPV event this year for UFC, a new opponent is needed in a big spot.
UFC's injury bug started at UFC 196 when Rafael Dos Anjos was forced to pull out of his bout against Conor McGregor and continued at UFC 197 when Daniel Cormier had to back out of his title match with Jon Jones due to injury. Just last week, Anderson Silva had to pull out of UFC 198 after having to have his gallbladder removed, and now Weidman is off the 199 card.
UFC is in the tough position of finding a new challenger for the middleweight title with just over two weeks notice. Despite having just finished shooting a movie, Michael Bisping wants his shot at a second bout with Rockhold.
Training camps separate the boys from the men. This sport isn't for everyone. 2 weeks notice? I'm down!!! @ufc#realfighter#fightersfighter

Rockhold defeated Bisping at UFC Fight Night 55 in 2014 by second round submission, but Bisping has won his three fights since then, including a unanimous decision victory over Anderson Silva in February.
The other name mentioned as a potential replacement is Jacare Souza, who beat Vitor Belfort last weekend via first-round TKO. It would be extremely short notice, but Souza is up for it after winning six of his last seven fights in the UFC.
