Masters report: Round two badges could be most expensive ever
Tiger Woods, Tianlang Guan and Fred Couples are reportedly driving up Masters badge prices on Friday.

I outlined a few weeks ago that finding a Masters badge remains one of the most difficult (and expensive) endeavors in sports.
On Friday, that might be taken to a new level.
In my original post, I linked an Atlanta Journal-Constitution article that stated Friday badges would go for no less than $1,200. That apparently has changed.
According to a tweet by Craig Bestrom of GolfDigest, badges on Friday are going for $3,000:
Visited 5 ticket brokers. Friday badges scarce. Going rate: $3,000--if you can find one. Toughest ticket ever, they're saying. #masters

There are a lot of reasons why badges have skyrocketed, not the least of which is the fact that 14-year-old Tianlang Guan is making a historic run at the cut line.
Also, Tiger Woods is in the mix, which almost automatically increases badge prices by a factor of two or three.
And Fred Couples is hot as well. Nobody loves Couples like Augusta crowds love Couples, and they're apparently willing to pay top price to see their folk hero play his second round.
