Angels starter Jered Weaver suffered a loss, snapping a personal four-decision winning streak. That streak came after Weaver opened the season with four straight losses.

Weaver lost to the Yankees on Friday, dropping to 4-5 on the year. He gave up seven runs on nine hits over 5 2/3 innings. Weaver didn't walk a batter and struck out two. He was tagged for three home runs.

“For it to come down to three 315-foot homers is tough,” Weaver said of the short porch at Yankee Stadium.

“Weaver just left a couple breaking balls early over plate and they squeaked out, but they’re home runs,” manager Mike Scioscia said. “He settled in, made some pitches but couldn’t find the rhythm he normally does.”

Weaver's next start will be Wednesday at Tampa.
