Blue Jays starter Mark Buehrle (3-2) was knocked around for eight runs on 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings Friday to suffer the loss to the Indians.
Buehrle was tagged for a first-inning solo homer from Jason Kipnis and a two-run shot from Michael Brantley in the fourth.
"I just hope its been a bad stretch for all of us," Buehrle said. "We've pretty much killed this team, killed the bullpen already. We've only had a handful of games where we go out and pitch into the seventh."
Buehrle returns to the mound on Wednesday to start against the Yankees.
