Yankees pitcher Brandon McCarthy picked up a win Tuesday after allowing four earned runs on nine hits and one walk in six innings and striking out three in his team's 12-11 victory over the Rangers.

McCarthy (6-10) has won three straight starts, but Tuesday's outing was his ugliest performance since joining the Yankees in early July. He owns a 4.56 ERA and 113:24 K:BB ratio in 134 1/3 innings. McCarthy is scheduled to face the Tigers Monday.
