Brewers activate Carlos Gomez from DL, DFA Luis Jimenez

The Brewers officially reinstated outfielder Carlos Gomez off the 15-day disabled list prior to Saturday afternoon's game against the Cubs, per the team's official website. In a corresponding move, Milwaukee designated infielder Luis Jimenez for assignment.

Gomez manned the leadoff spot for the first eight games of the season for Milwaukee. He is back at the top of the order on Saturday. He batted .235 with a homer and six RBI over 34 at-bats.
