Coco Crisp out of lineup for 'family issue'

Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp wasn't in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Reds with what manager Bob Melvin deemed a non-emergency "family issue." Crisp, however, is scheduled to arrive during the game.

"This was a planned thing," Melvin said.

Crisp is batting .263 (20 for 76) with one double, four home runs, seven RBI, seven walks and 11 runs in his last 19 games.
