Cubs starting pitcher Jon Lester, who was scratched from his spring start Saturday due to dead arm, said he is not concerned about the arm issue, per MLB.com. Lester, who will throw a side session Monday, said he is dealing with no pain.

Lester added it's normal arm fatigue and said it usually happens a little earlier or later for him, per ESPN.

"If this was during the season, it wouldn't be an issue," he said. "You can ask every pitcher, it's an every year thing for everybody. It's nothing out of the ordinary."

Cubs manager Joe Maddon said Friday he is expecting Lester to be ready by the season opener (April 5) against the Cardinals.
