In the course of the Cubs' 3-2 victory over the Pirates on Thursday, reliever Pedro Strop pursued a pop-up with what can be described as a "relentless and teammate-immolating sense of mission." Please bear witness, so long as you're wearing a mouthpiece ... 

Not advisable! Fortunately, catcher John Baker was fine, gave a thumbs-up afterward and remained in the game for the final two outs. 

As for Strop, note that he saunters away from the scene of the disaster, not unlike an action hero ambling with his back to an explosion of his own making -- an explosion, as with Strop's hellbent snare, perpetrated in the service of taking back the streets.
