Reds pitcher Homer Bailey took a loss Tuesday after giving up four earned runs on four hits and two walks in 5 1/3 innings and striking out six in his team's 7-3 defeat against the Cubs.

Bailey (7-4) completed three innings with ease before giving up a solo home run in the fourth. He then surrendered another run in the fifth before two more crossed the plate in the sixth. Bailey owns a 4.80 ERA and 87:31 K:BB ratio in 95 2/3 innings. He's scheduled to face the Giants Sunday.
