Hunter Pence signs follow Hunter Pence to Milwaukee
Last week, Mets fans trolled Hunter Pence with some funny but harmless signs. The signs followed him to Milwaukee.
Pence responded by scorching the Mets -- he went 6-for-18 (.333) with two doubles, two triples and two home runs in the series.
Once the Giants left New York, that would be the end of the signs, right? Nope. They followed Pence to Milwaukee for the team's series with the Brewers:
The #HunterPenceSigns Twitter meme is very much alive and well at this point. There are also copycats out there -- some Blue Jays fans made signs for Chris Davis during the team's recent series against the Orioles, according to the Baltimore Sun.
What does Pence think of all this?
Pence on #HunterPenceSigns: "It's like Hunter Pence is not me anymore. It's this other entity now. It's an extremely interesting entity."— Alex Pavlovic (@AlexPavlovic) August 8, 2014
Indeed. Something tells me the Hunter Pence signs are here to stay.
