The Indians have acquired outfielder Jason Kubel from the Diamondbacks in exchange for a player to be named. CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman confirms the original report of SBN's Chris Cotillo.
This season, Kubel, age 31, has hit a disappointing .220/.288/.324 with five home runs in 89 games and been limited by a quad injury. However, he's coming off a 2012 season in which he slugged .506 and tallied 30 homers.
In Cleveland, Kubel is expected to see regular duty against right-handed pitching, primarily at DH.
