Josh Phegley was not a highly regarded prospect entering this season, but a breakout at Triple-A Charlotte boosted his profile and earned him a promotion. Now he's been in the starting lineup for four of White Sox's last five games, so it appears he has replaced Tyler Flowers as the team's primary catcher.

Phegley blasted 15 home runs in just 61 games at Charlotte, and he's homered in back-to-back games with the White Sox, but is his power for real? He had never hit more than nine home runs in any previous minor-league season, but Phegley has had long-standing flyball tendencies. At age 25, perhaps Phegley is breaking out offensively. He doesn't walk much, but he's not prone to strikeouts, so he could wind up being a poor man's version of Wilin Rosario. Like his Rockies' counterpart, Phegley has a home park that could help to boost his power numbers.

Maybe Phegley's power surge will be short-lived, but given what he's done already this season and his apparent shot at regular playing time, he is worth picking up in deeper mixed and AL-only leagues.
